Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Solid Form Lowell Concrete, concretelowell.com, hello@concretelowell.com

Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the Solid Form Lowell Concrete website and any work you hire us to do. By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them, so please read them before you reach out.

If you sign a written estimate or contract with us, that document controls wherever it differs from these terms, because it's written for your property and your job.

What we do

Solid Form Lowell Concrete is a concrete contractor in Lowell, MA. We build driveways, patios, walkways, steps, garage floors, foundations, footings and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Lowell and the cities around it. You'll find the full list of services on our home page, and you can read more about who we are on our About page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. The work we do at your property is the work written in your estimate or contract. We're licensed and fully insured.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, in person and obligation-free. We come out, look at the area and give you a written price, because the size of the job, the ground the slab will sit on, access for the truck and any old concrete that has to come out all change the cost.

An estimate covers the work it lists. Some things only show up once the old slab is out or the ground is dug, such as soft or wet soil, buried debris or roots. When that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and give you the added cost in writing before we go further, and we won't charge for extra work you haven't approved.

The price on an estimate holds for the period written on it. After that, material costs can change, so we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a pour date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, because rain, freezing temperatures or hard heat can leave a weak surface, so we may move a pour to protect your job. We'll tell you as soon as we know and set the next workable date.

Before we start, please move vehicles and belongings out of the work area, keep pets inside and tell us about any private underground lines we can't see, such as sprinkler pipes or buried wiring. We aren't responsible for damage to private lines we weren't told about.

New concrete needs to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and damage from using the slab before then isn't covered by our guarantee.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (978) 441-3345 as early as you can. Once materials are ordered or a crew and truck are booked, those costs may be charged to you, as your contract will spell out.

Payment

Your estimate or contract lists any deposit, the payment schedule and the accepted payment methods. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the job is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an overdue balance, to the extent the law allows.

Our guarantee and what concrete normally does

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us, and we'll come look at it and make it right when the problem comes from our work.

Concrete can crack even when it's built right. We cut control joints, the planned grooves that give a slab a place to crack in a straight line, but hairline cracks, slight color differences and surface wear from de-icers or heavy loads are normal for concrete and aren't defects.

The guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as settling caused by later digging nearby, tree roots, drainage changes made after the job, loads heavier than the slab was built for, or use before it has cured.

Warranty disclaimer and website information

Apart from our satisfaction guarantee and anything written in your contract, we make no other promises about our work, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties.

The information on this website is general and provided as is. It isn't engineering advice for your property, and while we try to keep it accurate, we may change or correct it at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Solid Form Lowell Concrete isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway or patio while concrete cures, or delays caused by weather.

Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling disagreements

If you have a problem with our work, call us first, because most issues get sorted out with a visit and a conversation at the site.

If we can't settle it together, we'll both try mediation in good faith before either of us goes to court. Any court case will be brought in Massachusetts.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do under them are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where we're based, wherever the job is located.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and post the new version on this page. The version posted when you sign your estimate or contract applies to that job.
